Sprouts fried rice

Sprouts are always a better way of adding the pulse part to your meal. They are for sure easy to digest, protein rich and bearers of protective antioxidants. So definitely adding them to make a delicious fried rice is always welcome to any foodie. In other words we would describe this recipe to be born holding taste and health hand in hand…the best choice for all food lovers and picky eaters.

Ingredients
1.      Basmati rice(cooked)              2cups
2.      Onion                                      60 g
3.      Sprouted green gram               ½ cup
4.      Carrot                                      ¼  cup
5.      Cabbage                                  ¼ cup
6.      Spring onion                            30g
7.      Cauliflower                             30g
8.      Green chilly sauce                   1 tbsp
9.      Light soya sauce                     2 tsp
10.  Pepper powder                        2 tsp
11.  Sugar                                       ½ tsp
12.  Salt                                          to taste
13.  Vegetable oil                           3 tbsp

Method
1.      Heat oil in a pan add chopped onions and saute for a while
2.      Then add diced carrots, cabbage, capsicum and cook for few minutes
3.      Finally add chilly sauce, soya sauce, sugar, and pepper powder.
4.      To the above mixture add sprouted green gram,spring onion and cooked rice and mix well.
5.      Serve hot with raitha and masala pappad.

Nutritional Information
One serving of fried rice gives 15.5g of protein, 16.01 g of fat, 88.1 g of carbohydrates, 548 KCals of energy, 95.7 mg of calcium and 15.5 mg of iron.
