KAALAN
- Curd – 220ml
- Yam – 70g
- Coconut - 100g
- Green chilli – 2 nos
- Curry leaves – 1 tsp
- Cumin seeds – ½ tsp
- Fenugreek – ½ tsp
- Mustard seeds - ½ tsp
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Red chilli – 1 no.
- Cooking oil – 1 tbsp
- Raw plantain – 60g
- Pepper powder – ¼ tsp
- Salt – to taste.
- Dice yam and raw plantain and cook adding turmeric powder.
- Add salt and curd and boil for 1 min.
- Grind coconut with green chillies, pepper powder and cumin seeds. Add this to the above mixture and boil for 1 min.
- Heat coconut oil in a kadai, adding red chilli, mustard seeds, curry leaves and fenugreek. Add this mixture to the curry and garnish with curry leaves.
Yields 2 ¼ cup
